Testimonials from the Advance Camp...
Dear Mark and Bruce,
As a professor teaching MBA's, a hockey author, and the founder of the leading pro free-agent camp in the 1990s, I am always on the lookout for great hockey learning opportunities for my sons Jake and Luke. To date, my batting average has been pretty good, and I'll have you know the 2004 USCHA Camp drove it up even higher. There are three reasons for this. First, you did not scrimp on your coaches. They were well qualified and came across very professional in the seminars. I also closely observed all of them on the ice during the practices and on the benches during the games. They were fully engaged: teaching, encouraging, and pushing. Second, you attracted the right kind of kids - they had both skill and character. These players were fun to watch and, Jake tells me, fun to compete with. Third, I know you are committed to working out the (very, very few) bugs in the program. Having run a similar camp at the pro level, I can assure you a willingness to listen and tweak things when necessary will get you closer to perfection faster. And, you are not far off. Considering this was only the first year, that's quite an accomplishment! Once again, congratulations on a job well done. Surely, a lot of players will benefit from the knowledge, dedication, and hard work of you and your fine staff for many years to come.
Yours in hockey, John M. Hannon, Ph.D.
Dear Coach Dennehy and Coach Wolanin,
First and foremost, I would like to thank you for running an excellent camp. The ability to establish close relationships with the coaches that are watching and analyzing you as a hockey player sets USCHA apart from any summer program. In addition, I had never experienced a camp that touched on all facets of a successful hockey player; I learned a lot. Please pencil me in for next year; I will be sure to bring some more of my teammates. Overall, I had a great time, and maybe in a couple years I’ll be on your list for official visits.
Thanks again, and good luck with next season!
Sincerely, 2004 Camper

Thanks to all the Coaches and training staff for a great weekend. My son Alex and I had a wonderful time. Alex really enjoyed the high level of competition. I think that the seminars were very informative, and shed light on the mysteries of the recruiting process and life as an NCAA hockey player.
Thanks once again, we look forward to next year.

Mark & Bruce:
I wanted to thank you both for a really competitive, productive week of hockey. Ross and I truly enjoyed your program. I was joking to a few people that the coaches must have bet who's team would win. I said that because of the passion and strategy that was demonstrated from the bench. It was a nice change from the "showcase tournaments" that are offered each month. I predict this will be the top camp in New England in the next few years. I mean that. Once the word gets out you'll be turning away people. Ross will be back next year. Please keep him on your mailing list. Good luck to both of you this year. We'll see you in the rinks.
My best, Jerry MacKinnon

Hi Bruce,
I just wanted to thank you for a great camp. Jayson really enjoyed it. What a great concept! I really enjoyed the seminar , it was very informative. I also think that the testing is a good idea to give the boys an idea of where they are physically compared to the college players and what they have to do to get to that level. Jayson also said the coaching was very good, both games and practices. Well again I just wanted to drop you a quick note of thanks to let you know that you and Mark did a great job.
Thanks again, Jay Lee

Dear Coach Dennehy:
I have been a prep school teacher all of my adult life, and few things get me as cranked up as I get whenever I see great kids working with great teachers. So it was a real privilege to watch all that went on at your camp this weekend--my son Charlie and all of the kids I spoke with understood clearly that they had been given a rare opportunity to learn from gifted and inspiring teachers. They left having learned a lot and loving the game and the people in it more than ever.
Thank you, Mike Townsend The Taft School
